Contemporary urban life can be stressful and fatiguing. The purpose of this hour-long Sunday evening yoga class is to celebrate your weekend and prepare you for the week ahead. It offers a sequence of poses designed to gently strengthen, build stamina, and enhance flexibility and balance along with encouraging self-observation and self-reflection.
Yoga as taught by B.K.S. Iyengar emphasizes the integration of body, mind and spirit. The Iyengar approach to yoga is firmly based on the traditional eight limbs of yoga as expounded by Patanjali in his classic treatise, The Yoga Sutras. Students are encouraged to develop their own home practice.
